He is a epidemiologist, especially in wheat stripe rust, Verticillium wilt, and Ginseng continuous cropping obstacle. He got his Ph.D. degree in 2004 from Northwest A&F University, did melecular mechanisms on polymer degradation by microbes during his Postdoc in Okayama University-Japan from 2005 to 2008, did soilborne diseases on vegetables like lettuce, strawberry, tomato, etc. during his visiting in University of California-Davis, USA from 2013 to 2014.

Sanhong Fan is an associate Prof. since 2003 in Northwest A&F University. He got his Ph.D. from Northwest A&F University, China, and did his postdoc in USA from 2015 to 2018. Sanhong joined in our group since 2017.

Conghao studied the effectors of Verticillium dahliae (defoliating strain JY and XJ2008). The research was based on bioinformatics of transcriptome of V. dahliae microsclerotia and genome. His Ph.D. thesis topics is: population genetic diversity of Pst based on WGS.
